BRIGHTON NATIONAL SPEED TRIALS 2002

Martin Pester did another fine job at Brighton in September even if he didn’t improve on his previous best!!
Martin was joined by a couple of STOC members - Andrew Davenall, taking a break from sprinting and circuit racing, and Ben May who was intent on adding a bit of brisk sea shore driving to his hill climbing and sprinting skills. The twin demands of the Anglo American and the Le Mans Classic deprived the event of a couple of other Club entries including Chris Beighton’s and his Championship winning “orange bomber” race Tiger. However, Chris says he hopes to make the line for 2003, something I suggest very much worth making a diary note for.

Martin’s fantastic Tiger emblazoned race helmet got the commentators attention as much as their curiosty in the ‘Tiger cop’ car. The media got interested too and Martin’s Tiger found its way into the Brighton Argos!
